Zeynep Ezgi Mater completed her undergraduate degree with honors in Psychology at Özyeğin University, with a minor in International Relations. She finished her graduate education in the Couple and Family Therapy program at Özyeğin University, working with individuals, couples, and families. She is currently actively working with individuals, couples, and families. She has received her Emotion-Focused Couples Therapy training from Senem Zeytinoglu-Saydam, a clinical member and certified supervisor of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT) and the Canadian Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (CAMFT). She received Emotion-Focused Therapy and Trauma training from Simona Herb, and Emotion-Focused Individual Therapy training from Ting Liu. Additionally, she has completed Level 1 and Level 2 EMDR training approved by the EMDR International Association (EMDRIA). She has received Integrated Trauma Therapist training from names such as Bessel van der Kolk, MD, and Richard Schwartz, PhD. She is an active practitioner of Emotion-Focused Individual and Couples Therapy and EMDR from a trauma perspective. She is a full member of the Turkish Psychologists Association.

She has been offering sessions online in English & Turkish for wide range of mental health difficulties including complex trauma, PTSD (trauma), loss and grief, burnout, Borderline Personality Disorder, eating disorders, depression, anxiety, panic attacks and coming out process of LGBTQI+ individuals.
